Our Mission
Angels of Assisi is changing the role of an animal shelter to include resources, programs, and services to benefit the pets in our communities and the people who love them. We are an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southwest Virginia and West Virginia. Along with our Adoption Center and Farm Sanctuary, we offer a Community Pet Clinic, Rural Veterinary Care, Cruelty Investigations, Disaster Response, and a Safety Net Program for those needing temporary help due to domestic violence or emergency situations.

Harmony Farm Sanctuary
Harmony Farm Sanctuary was established in 2003 by Angels of Assisi Director, Lisa O'Neill, with a mission of protecting farm animals from cruelty and providing lifelong shelter, care, and compassion to those in need. Now, over 200 animals call this 90-acre sanctuary home!
Harmony Farm Sanctuary strives to improve the lives of all animals—and the people who care for them—by providing programs for abused animals, cruelty cases, and other emergencies.
Because most of the residents at Harmony Farm Sanctuary will spend the rest of their days there, the need for donations is ongoing. Consider becoming a monthly donor to help ensure these animals have the food, bedding, monthly medicines, and vaccinations they need to live a long, comfortable, and healthy life.
